Unfortunately, popular physio Tony Dunn will not be an integral member of the management team this coming season.

He explained, “I have absolutely nothing but love and admiration for the club, however, I’ve managed to get on an FA Development course but I have to work under a Registered Medical Practitioner and unfortunately this cannot be achieved at Rammy. So, I have to look for another club. Burnley have offered me a role as have a few other clubs via FA development.

“I’ve mulled over my decision for a couple of weeks where it’s been keeping me awake at nights and I had to decide on whether to progress as a hobby, or a career, and at my age, I cannot let another season slip by.

“I wish to thank Ramsbottom United FC for giving me the chance to work for them and for all the volunteers for the tireless efforts they put into the club. I also wish Steve, Scott and Lewis all the best in getting Ramsbottom back to the Northern Premier League which whilst not being an easy task, will stand a good chance with them. I get really good vibes from them.

“I’ll still be around and will help out as and where I can as Rammy is and always will be in my heart.”

We expect to announce our new physio in the next few days, but in the meantime, thank Tony for all his efforts whilst with the club, and whilst disappointed, fully understand his reasoning and wish him well for the future, although expecting to see him down at the HWRS on a regular basis.
