Evo-Stik Division One North side Ramsbottom United have made a couple of additions to their squad – including a return for A Shenton.
19-year-old Colne based defender Bradley Roscoe has signed following his release from League One side Fleetwood Town.
Roscoe joined Fleetwood in the summer of 2015 after two years with Preston North End and earned a place on the bench for Town’s 2-1 defeat at Burton Albion in March, where he was an unused substitute.
The defender – whose father Neville was a member of Colne Dynamoes’ FA Vase-winning side at Wembley in 1988 – enjoyed a loan spell at Conference North side AFC Fylde last season. He joined up in mid-November and made six appearances, all starts for Dave Challinor’s side.
Returning to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium is last year’s goalkeeper understudy, Ashley Shenton.
Ashley was very much in the shadow of his younger brother Grant, who spent five years at Ramsbottom United, but he has signed for the club again, determined to make the No.1 jersey his own this time around.
Joining the Rams on a one-month loan is highly-rated 18-year-old striker Louis Myers from National League side Chorley.
A previous Youth Team “Player of the Year” award winner at Fleetwood Town, the Manchester-based player is on the verge of breaking into Chorley’s first team, and will provide additional forward options during his loan spell at the club.
