Another pre-season runout for the Rams on Saturday as they faced another North West Counties Side, Cheadle Town originally they were meant to face Spennymoor Town, but that game got cancelled so Cheadle stepped up earlier in the week.
A good number of trialists were on show again for the Rams seven trialists started alongside the familiar faces of Hampson, Thompson, Rother & Fawns.
In a quiet first twenty minutes no side had any real chance and the scores remained level.

Cheadle had a chance on 22 minutes, with the Rams keeper stranded at the edge of the box, and a looping Cheadle shot looking set to go in when the Rammy Trialist wearing number 6 stepped in to make 2 excellent headed saves on the line.
Rammy’s best chance of the half came from Jamie Rother, his long range shot was fired over the bar.

With both sides not really creating any chances it’s not surprising that they went in level at the break.
Cheadle flew out of the block in the second half scoring in the opening minute before doubling there lead just after the hour make.
After that second from Cheadle the Rams got a goal back within a couple of minutes, the trialist Number 15 twisted and turned beautifully and sent a fantastic shot into the top right corner to keep the game alive for the hosts.
The Rams drew level in stoppage time as trialist number 9 headed home from a Mason Fawns corner.

With the Rams league season starting in just under three weeks time the pre-season campaign continues with a home game on Tuesday.
