Jordan Hulme is the latest Ramsbottom United player to be placed on contract with the club.
The versatile youngster, who is equally at home at full-back or up front, is the son of former Rammy favourite Martin “Tommy” Hulme, who played for the club in the 1990s.
Jordan joined the Rams in December 2011 after a spell with Clitheroe and Padiham and has been a firm crowd favourite since then.
Despite playing in different positions, he has still managed eight goals for the club already this season, which has attracted a number of scouts from Football League clubs down to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium to check on his progress.
Joint manager Anthony Johnson is delighted to have secured him on a contract for this season, with another year’s option. “Jordan has developed into an all-round excellent player during his time with us, and his future looks very bright indeed”, he said, as the player helped push the Rams up to fifth in the Evo-Stik Premier Division – the highest the club has been in its 49 year history.
