RAMSBOTTOM UNITED are delighted to announce that, for the second time this season, they have scooped the “Club-of-the-Month” award for the BETVICTOR NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE NORTHWEST DIVISION.

Having been the grateful recipient of the joint October/November award, the Rams form throughout January has seen the team topple previous table-toppers Workington, after defeating the Cumbrians 2-0, to overtake them at the summit, in a month which saw the side suffer just one League defeat away at Dunston, although they did fail in their Integro League Cup tie at Trafford.

Wins in the league at Trafford, City of Liverpool and Brighouse Town reaped nine points, which added to those gained at home to Pickering Town and the afore-mentioned Workington.

In the month’s eight games, the Rams scored 21 goals whilst conceding 16, with an average of nearly 5 goals a game as the entertainment value of games involving Ramsbottom United saw an increase in attendances, with over 600 being present for the top of the table clash.

The club will be presented with an engraved permanent memento and a 1ltr bottle of spirit at a forthcoming home game.
