Ramsbottom United are delighted to have won the “Evo-Stik Premier Division Club of the Month” award for October.

Having beaten Trafford 1-0 away on the opening Saturday of the month, the Rams followed up with three home victories (4-2 v Belper Town, 2-0 v Buxton and 4-0 v Whitby Town) before claiming 15 points out of 15 with a 3-1 success at Marine.

So a run of five consecutive wins with 14 goals for and only three against deservedly saw the east Lancashire club climb into the play-off places in their first season at the highest level the club have ever played.

The presentation of the award, including a 4 and a half bottle of whiskey and a framed certificate, was made before the Rams’ home league game with former Football League side Workington, by League sponsors’ Bostik manager Clive Timmins and League Respect manager Phil Bradley.
