Ramsbottom United are looking to recruit a new 1st team physio for the 2017/18 season. This critical role, as part of the clubs management team, begins in late June when the players return for pre-season training.
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: 1st Team Physio
HOURS: Part Time – Primarily Tuesday/Thursday evenings & Saturdays (June – April)
RESPONSIBLE TO: 1st Team Manager
SALARY: Negotiable with opportunities for additional income through development of a clinic at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium and potential work with the junior section of the football club.
LOCATION: The normal place(s) of work will be;
-Ramsbottom United Football Club
-Top Park Training Ground, Ramsbottom
-Heywood Sports Village Training Ground, Heywood
You will be expected to undertake travel as is necessary to fulfil your job requirements
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
To deliver a high standard of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of all Ramsbottom United FC players
To provide training and pitch-side cover all Ramsbottom United FC sessions/games
To support & oversee the development, co-ordination and implementation of all medical musculoskeletal matters in relation to playing staff
To liaise with internal staff and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain high standards at all times
- Responsible for all other medical staff
- To create successful and professional relationships with staff
- To provide evidence based treatment and develop injury rehabilitation guidelines.
- To be involved in the counselling process of all players covering medical/health related matters
- To monitor players fitness
- To provide ‘on field’ first aid to injured players and aid in their removal and dispatch to appropriate facility
- To provide medical assessment of players as required
- To educate players on responsible management of injuries and injury prevention strategies
- To ensure all medical equipment, stock and procedures are regularly reviewed and maintained at the training ground
- To ensure medical spaces are kept fit for purpose at all times
- To be responsible for the maintenance and storage of up to date medical records of all players
- To actively participate in personal continuing professional development
