Ramsbottom United have appointed a new goal-keeping coach ahead of their first season in Evo-Stik Premier.
Stockport-based John Morrey has joined the club in that capacity having enjoyed two successful seasons as joint-manager of NWCFL said Maine Road.
The south Manchester based club finished fourth and second in the league during his reign, but Morrey has decided it is time to move on, and has joined the ambitious east Lancashire club ahead of the new campaign.
Married with two boys, he enjoyed a playing career that lasted from 1986 to 2004, and included spells at Maine Road, Clitheroe and Great Harwood.
Prior to his stint as joint-manager at Brantingham Road, Morrey served as goal-keeping coach with the Sky Blues between 2009 and 2012.
Ramsbottom United joint-managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley are delighted to welcome the new recruit on board as the club look forward to the new season at the highest level it has ever played.
