The very bad weather that has battered the North West over the last month or so has arrived with a vengeance in Ramsbottom over the last 24 hours as Storm Eva has seen the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium completely flooded.
The River Irwell has, yet again, broken its banks and left both the cricket ground and the football ground under water as well as the majority of the town as well.
Bank Holiday Monday’s match at home to Workington is already under major threat with club secretary Tony Cunningham having spoken to the league this morning to inform them of the situation.
However, the situation is that the dressing rooms, tea bar, generator room and secretary’s office have all been affected as well, of course, as the playing surface.
