Having successfully seen off Southern League side Yaxley in the 2nd Qualifying round replay, the Rams head off to north Yorkshire for the 3rd Qualifying round tie at Evo-Stik East side Pickering Town.
Confidence will be high after the 5-1 hammering of the Cambridgeshire side on Tuesday, and once more, as well as making progress on the field, another useful cash windfall is on offer as the Rams meet their opponents for the first time.
Out of the side is Luke Thompson, suspended after his dismissal at Colwyn Bay last week, whilst Joel Bembo-Leta, Jamie Rainford and Kelvin Lugsden are all cup-tied. However, such is the strength of this new-look Rammy squad, their absence should easily be covered and a strong side is guaranteed to take the field against a side whose home league record this season is disappointing.
Currently sitting in 13th spot in the equivalent league east of the Pennines, Town have lost four and won just one at their Recreation Club home, whilst the Rams are currently on an eleven game unbeaten run. But, as with all cup games, form can fly out of the window, so the Rammy fans can do their bit to support the lads by turning up in numbers.
A coach will leave the ground at 10.15 on Saturday morning and the fare is the usual £12, which represents excellent value for the 200 mile round trip.
