After a week of upheaval, it’s back to where things matter the most….on the pitch.
With Mark Fell and Graham Lancashire departing for struggling Premier Division side Lancaster City, the Rams acted quickly to bring in the experienced Chris Willcock, most recently in charge of the now-defunct Shaw Lane FC and Glossop North End, with whom he appeared in the FA Vase Final at Wembley.
Visitors to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium are Staffordshire side Chasetown, whose late move into the Evo-Stik West came about as a result of the afore-mentioned Shaw Lane’s demise.
It’s not been a good start for the visitors, who currently sit bottom of the pile with just one solitary win all season.
As for the Rams, it’s difficult to know what will happen as, when managers change, there is the inevitable movement of players.
Time will tell what changes there will be at Ramsbottom, but after a difficult week it will be a relief to get back to playing football and seeing how things develop over the next few days.
