The Rams will finally be returning to action tomorrow at the Ruby Civil Arena to take on Padiham.
It will not only mark the first game of pre-season for Chris Willcock’s men, but will more importantly be the first time Rammy will have played in front of a crowd since haloween last year.
The same applies to tomorrows hosts, who suffered a 2-0 FA Vase defeat at Rylands.
This will be our first meeting with the Storks since way back in February 2014 where we came out comfortable 4-1 winners on our way to gaining promotion via the playoffs to the NPL Premier Division.
Padiham have spent most of their recent past in the North West Counties Premier Division, and were 17th before the season was curtailed due to covid during the 19/20 season.
As is usually the case with pre-season, both sides will more than likely have a number of trialists playing, alongside some more familiar faces as tomorrow will be the first chance for the gaffer to begin moulding a team together ahead of the new campaign.
The main thing is that football is back and we cannot wait to have the fans back cheering on the Rams again tomorrow.
Tickets for tomorrow’s game are priced at:
Adults £4, Concessions £2, Under-16’s free
