Ramsbottom United are hoping new recruits can help with a much needed points haul over the festive period.
With news of some players heading for the exit in the last two weeks, Rams boss Mark Fell has moved swiftly to bolster the ranks with two new faces and is expected to continue his Christmas shopping in the next 24 hours.
The first signing is a familiar face, via a loan deal with Blackburn Rovers. Charlie Albinson arrived on a 28-day loan agreement to cover for Danny Taberner who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury. Ex-Manchester City keeper Albinson played 10 games for the Rams last season only tasting defeat on one occasion.
New into the Riverside is another loanee, young Accrington Stanley defender Zehn Mohammed arrives into the Rams defence. The highly rated 19-year-old signed a two year professional deal in May of this year at the Wham Stadium and has already been in John Coleman’s first team squad on several occasions. A 6ft plus, no nonsense centre half who will gain valuable experience with the Rams.
Both are expected to feature in the matchday squad at Tadcaster Albion on Saturday.
Meanwhile, central defender Jacques Kpohomouh has been recalled by his parent club to cover for two injured players.
