Rammy travel to Workington tonight to take on the current league leaders it what will be a difficult test.
It also has an added significance as it will be the first time the Rams go up against former manager Chris Willcock who left for Borough Park during pre-season.
The Reds have got off to a flier this season winning five and drawing two of their opening seven games, and are only one of two unbeaten sides in the division so far.
The only points they have dropped, have come in their previous two games drawing away at Trafford and at home to Leek Town.
Last Saturday spelled the end to the Rams four-game unbeaten run in the league losing at Prescot Cables 2-1 which means Donafee’s men sit seventh going into tonight’s game.
The gaffer sees tonight as a tough test but has every belief that the lads have what it takes to get back to winning ways.
“The game tonight gives us a chance and an opportunity to put things right from Saturday.” Donafee said.
“Workington are unbeaten and have home advantage but it’s a great test for us to see where we’re at as a group and one (Saturday’s loss) I believe the lads can put right.”
Let’s hope we can get back to winning ways and safe journey to the travelling Rammy fans.
