Ramsbottom United are delighted to announce that currently player Jon Robinson has accepted the offer to become the new manager following the departure of Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley on Saturday.

Robinson, who has 104 goals for the club in six seasons and in 159 starts (alongside 34 substitute appearances) he has made for the Rams since joining in 2009 alongside the former management duo, will take the reigns for the first time in the match against Trafford on Saturday 10th January.

Rob Moss caught up with Jon following the press conference on Saturday and you can view the video here.

As well as having a chat with Jon, Rob also managed to grab a word with one of the senior players in the squad, Steve Howson, and got his reaction to the news of the exit from the club of the most successful managerial combination the club has seen.

Johnson and Morley brought Howson to the club from Radcliffe Borough last season and he was asked what the feeling was in the camp and also his view on the appointment of his team-mate Jon Robinson as the new ‘gaffer’.
