Ramsbottom United have announced that defenders George Grayson and Cedric Krou have decided to leave the club and seek their football elsewhere.

Highly-rated full-back Grayson joined the club from Conference North outfit Tamworth in late September but struggled to secure a regular starting place, commencing 10 games.

A fine young player, he was unhappy not to be featuring as regularly as he would like and manager Jon Robinson has accepted his wish and wished him well.

Another heading out of the exit is Cedric Krou, who has joined Division One North outfit Northwich Victoria.

Krou, who became something of a crowd favourite with the Rammy faithful, started 26 games this campaign with four appearances off the substitute bench and slotted home three goals, his last coming in the 3-0 success over Banbury United in the FA Trophy.

However, his apparent ‘no-show’ ahead of the long trip to the north east last Tuesday night when the Rams tackled Blyth Spartans, disappointed many and with the hastily removed tweet on his account seemingly slating the manager, his exit has not come as a surprise and it was confirmed that Northwich Victoria, who sit third in the division below behind Darlington 1883 and Salford City.

Ramsbottom United would like to wish both George and Cedric well in the future endeavours and thank them for their efforts for the club over the last 12 months or so.
