Ramsbottom United manager Garry Vaughan has tendered his resignation with immediate effect.
Vaughan, who was appointed as manager in October 2015, decided to relinquish the role this morning (Tuesday) following a run of results that saw the Rams suffer their first ever relegation and total 21 matches without a victory since early January.
He resided over 34 matches for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division club, winning five.
A full statement from the club will follow in due course.
Ramsbottom United Football Club would like to wish Garry all the best for the future and thank him for his endeavours.
Garry’s assistant, Wayne Goodison, will take charge of the team for the final two games of the season at home to Colwyn Bay (Tuesday 7.45pm) and Ilkeston (Saturday 3pm).
