The build up to Ramsbottom United’s first season at Evo-Stik Premier Division level continues with the announcement that four more of last season’s promotion winning team have signed on for the new campaign.
Midfield player Joel Pilkington (pictured) is now fit and ready after breaking his arm during the latter part of last season, whilst central defender and the Club’s “Supporters Player of the Year”, Billy Priestley has also re-signed.
Having spent the last couple of months in America playing for New Orleans Jesters, the popular duo of winger Phil Dean and the versatile Jordan Hulme have now returned to the fold in time for the big kick-off on August 16th, when the Rams entertain Kings Lynn Town.
That makes a total of fifteen of last season’s squad committing themselves to the Rams for what promises to be an exciting campaign at the higher level.
The build-up to the new season continues with two home friendlies at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.
On Friday 1st August, a Bury XI are the visitors whilst on Tuesday 5th August, local rivals Radcliffe Borough travel to the HWRS. Both games kick off at 7.30pm with admission being £7 for adults and £3.50 for concessions.
