Ramsbottom United’s scheduled HOME game against Atherton Collieries, due to take place on Bank Holiday Monday 27th August, has now been reversed to an AWAY fixture.

Despite this game having been publicised, the recent bad weather that saw the Twenty/20 cricket semi-finals and finals postponed last Sunday have seen the competitions finale rearranged for the same Bank Holiday.

Ramsbottom United, being aware of the issues regarding access and parking contacted both the Evo-Stik League and Atherton Collieries to explain that this was a decision taken without consultation, leaving the club in a difficult position.

Both agreed that in the interest of safety, the games between Ramsbottom United and Atherton Collieries would be reversed, and the home game will now take place on New Year’s Day.
