We are delighted to confirm that Jordan Shannon has signed first-team papers ahead of the upcoming season.

The 17-year-old is the first player to sign for the first team from our BTEC academy that launched last year.

Jordan first joined the club’s junior setup aged six and has always had the aim of being in the first team.

He’s made appearances throughout pre-season and has impressed manager Lee Donafee.

Donafee said: “Jordan has done really well since the start of pre-season, we felt it would be a challenge for him in the games but credit to him he’s listened to advice and worked on aspects of his game.

“We spoke as a management team and agreed that Jordan would be in and around the squad for the upcoming season.

“I’ve spoken to Jordan and discussed the plans we have for him going forward Jordan is on board and we are looking forward to continuing his development.

“Credit must go to Gary Marshall and Brendan O’Shaughnessy who have managed and developed Jordan throughout the Ramsbottom age groups.”

The local lad has enjoyed the pre-season campaign so far and aims to get some goals this season.
