Today is the day – the Rams’ first game in the Evo-Stik Premier Division when Kings Lynn Town come to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.
MATCH: RAMSBOTTOM UNITED v Kings Lynn Town
VENUE: Harry Williams Riverside Stadium
DATE: Saturday 16th August 2014
A new era begins for Ramsbottom United when, following their dramatic play-off success in May, the Rams begin life in non-league’s third tier, the Evo-Stik Premier League.
Many new opponents will be arriving at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium this season, and the first has a long journey from Norfolk in the shape of Kings Lynn Town.
Kings Lynn Town, who finished in 11th place in the Premier Division last season with 68 points – 12 points shy of the play-off places with a record of 20 wins, 18 defeats and 8 draws in the season – will be a tough examination for the hosts for their opener of the season.
However, having retained the vast majority of the squad that has seen the club rise through the divisions over the last five years, joint-managers Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson are relishing the challenge of pitting themselves and the team against higher profile opposition.
Adults £9, Concessions £4.50
